Why are there different prices available for the same Healthylife Pharmacy prescription product?
Why are there different prices available for the same Healthylife Pharmacy prescription product?

When ordering a Healthylife Pharmacy prescription product, there may be multiple patient-type prices displayed to you, and the medicine price may differ based on the patient charge band selected. The patient price types include the following:

  • Medicare Card Holder (PBS)

  • Private (Non-Medicare card holder)

  • Concession Card Holder

Select the option that applies to you. If you are unsure what pricing may be applicable to you, please contact the Healthylife Pharmacy Team directly by emailing them a copy of your prescription at care@healthylifepharmacy.com.au or calling on 1300 463 342 & select option 2.

In the event you have selected the wrong price for your type of prescription the Healthylife Pharmacy Team may contact you to confirm your eligibility for the price (patient type) you have selected.

Furthermore, the number of patient price types displayed may differ based on the medicine. For instance, some medicines may not be listed in the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) Schedule and therefore the Medicare Card Holder (PBS) patient charge band would not be displayed for this medicine.

The PBS Schedule lists all of the medicines available to be dispensed to patients at a Government-subsidised price. The Schedule is part of the wider Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme managed by the Department of Health and Aged Care and administered by Services Australia. For more information on the PBS, see About the PBS on the PBS information website.
